Privacy policy
This is the portfolio website of Vincent Twigt, composer and sound designer. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not ask you to create an account.
What is collected
Visitor statistics
Visits and clicks are counted with Umami, self-hosted on a private server. It sets no cookies and stores nothing that identifies you. What it records is the pages viewed, the site you came from, your browser, operating system and device type, your country, and which buttons and videos you used. The numbers cannot be traced back to you, and they are not shared with anyone. Data retention is based on manual deletion.
Error reports
If something breaks in your browser, an error report is sent to Sentry, which stores it in its EU data region. A report holds technical details such as the page, and your browser and device type. Your IP address is not stored. I use it only to find and fix bugs, and reports are deleted after 30 days.
Videos and audio
Videos are streamed from Bunny, a content delivery network based in the EU. Like any web server, it logs the IP address of each request so the files can be delivered.
Browser storage
The site remembers in your browser tab whether you turned the sound on. This stays in that tab and is gone when you close it.
Third-party content
A few things load from other companies, and only when you go for them. Pointing at or opening the booking button loads the Cal scheduler. Playing an embedded video or playlist loads YouTube, and an embedded music player loads SoundCloud. Those companies get your IP address and may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies. Links to Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram and IMDb do nothing until you click them.
Booking and e-mail
If you book a call or e-mail me, I get the details you enter, such as your name, e-mail address and message. I use them only to reply and to work with you, and I do not pass them on.
Your rights
You can ask me what I have about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
